As The Uni People, our ethos is to offer unbiased career advice that is underpinned with integrity and the highest level of professionalism, while catering exclusively to the needs of our students. Therefore, we do not put pressure on students to only attend our portfolio of partner universities but will assist them in applying for the best possible student-university fit, independent of whether we represent that institution. Having worked on both sides of the desk, we recognise the need in Zimbabwe for a well-rounded careers service.
The Uni People’s philosophy is simple – we put the student first; by taking a highly personalised approach to counselling and advisement on all aspects of the university planning and application process. We believe in assisting students in finding “best fit institutions” and not pressuring them to consider only partner schools.
We offer highly personalised one-on-one Career Counselling and aim to get to know our students thoroughly. We will spend time getting to understand a student’s aspirations, strengths and weaknesses as well as career ambitions.
Focusing on “quality over quantity”, we represent a small, selective number of institutions who offer globally recognised programmes and a supportive environment for international students.
We will “hand-hold” our students through all aspects of the university counselling and placement process. We keep in regular contact with all our placed students throughout the duration of their studies, continually offering academic and personal support, career and employment advice.
Many young people find the transition from school into the world of study and work a daunting and overwhelming process. Faced with multiple choices, those who learn how to be true to their own ambition and confidently make the right career decisions will build a road map to success, fulfilment and happiness.
